Banobagi Plastic Surgery was established in February 2000 as YE Plastic Surgery Clinic, founded by four board-certified plastic surgeons – all graduates of Seoul National University College of Medicine. The clinic was renamed Banobagi in 2007 and has operated continuously in Gangnam for over 25 years, making it one of the longest-established cosmetic surgery practices in the district.
The facility spans an 11-floor complex (6-story main building plus 5-story annex) with 32 beds, eight specialized centers, and a dedicated stem cell research lab. Unlike many Gangnam clinics that rely on part-time anesthesiologists, Banobagi maintains four board-certified anesthesiologists on staff full-time – a critical safety differentiator for surgical patients.
Banobagi performs 8,500+ plastic and reconstructive surgeries annually, with 12,000+ total patient consultations. Over 2,000 international patients visit each year from across China, Southeast Asia, Mongolia, Russia, Japan, and the West.
