Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital is the representative teaching and research hospital of the Catholic University of Korea and the flagship of the Catholic Medical Center (CMC) — Korea’s largest healthcare network with 8 hospitals, 29 research centers, and approximately 6,500 beds. Originally founded as Korea’s first Catholic hospital on May 11, 1936, the current state-of-the-art facility opened in 2009 as a 22-story, 190,000-square-meter complex — the largest single-building hospital in Korea at the time.
